United Hope InternationalUnited Hope International is a Kenyan Non-governmental Organization founded in 2009 by Willis Atieno as a youth development group. In 2010 it was elevated to a fully-fledged NGO to expand its reach in Kenya. United Hope International continues to save lives and change people’s lives.
In the beginning, we adopted three needy children who by God’s grace brought us more. There being a need to expand, God opened more doors and a well wisher donated a piece of land for us to build a home for the expanding capacity within our home. This has since helped us continue providing help to the Orphaned, vulnerable and destitute children.
Currently, the home has grown to a big family and we have 35 children under our care. All the basic needs are provided. This has had a great impact on them. Most are ambitious and optimistic that there is a bright future for them. We have managed to build separate dormitories for the children.
This has greatly improved their growth through interaction without fear. The dormitories were built in 2014. The main reason for building different living areas was because United hope aims to provide equal opportunities to all children without discriminating. We have a dedicated team that works hard to ensure that the children are well looked after.
We at united hope share the same feeling and Idea of caring for the needy which has made it very exciting to run the organization. United hope International seeks to move forward with provision of hope and care to this gender that has been side lined in the society. As an organization, we look forward to work with many other volunteers and well wishers to achieve the goals of the organization.
Out of that, a need for a girls and by home was identified and United Hope built a small house on a donated property to house and meet the needs of the Orphaned, Vulnarable and destitute children. Of course the need was so much bigger than one small house for about 3 to 5 kids by 2014 God had provided the funding for United Hope Children’s Home to develop a dormitory for girls and boys.
As of this year, 2017, the home has 35 children that are fully cared for by United Hope. Everything is provided for them and we are excited to share that each and every one of them are supported. Of course the need is great and United Hope, hopes to bring in many more children into the home as we move forward.
